Natural Vitamins located at 671 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, is a Mom and Pop store that opened up in 1973 by Irma and Antonio Zavala. Immigrants from Ecuador with three kids they were determined to better themselves with failure not being an option so they decided to open a business. Natural Vitamins

Mr. Zavala being a very self-concious person who took up Nutrition as well as Iridology started practicing Iridology and Nutrition out of their apartment. Shortly after word spread of his knowledge and due to the traffic generated from all the people coming to the apartment the Zavala's decided to open a store-front after finding a small 400 square foot store on Nassau Avenue. After a few years of having the little 400 square foot store on Nassau Avenue, the Zavala's realized with there growth that they were in need of a bigger location to be able to service and help those whom might want to seek Mr. Zavala expertise and knowledge so they saw an opportunity on a location located at 669 Manhattan Avenue and decided to take action and move to 669 Manhattan Avenue between Norman Avenue and Bedford Avenue. There they established a name for themselves, due to their many years of genuine love to help people and their very affordable prices and services which included Iridology, Hydro-Therapy Colonics and Reflexology to just to name a few. There business once again grew and Mr. Zavala became one of the Pioneer's in Iridology and word spread oh his knowledge to the point in which they started to look for yet a larger location to service and help people. A few years down the line the opportunity arouse and they were able to move to the location next door located at 671 Manhattan Avenue at which that time they purchased and have turned into one of the stepping stones in Health Nutrition and Body Building Supplements that we know today.

Natural Vitamins has been a force in the Holistic Field providing excellent service and very affordable pricing on all of there supplements that range from Vitamins to Herbs to Homeopathic Remedies and the one of the largest Body Building Supplement store in the New York area.

NVNY as they have gotten be known as has been very active in the Body Building Circuit by sponsoring Body Building Athletes for the first time, that are striving to achieve there Pro statues and with a little help from NVNY can achieve. NVNY also currently stays active in the sport by head-sponsoring the only Brooklyn NPC Show Grand Prix that is held annually at Grand Street Campus located at 850 Grand Street in Brooklyn New York. NVNY also currently has two annual Events at it flag-ship store located at 671 Manhattan Avenue at which time they invite 10-15 local New York IFBB Pro's to come down as well as 20-30 of the Body Building Top Compnaies to come down and have a mini-expo in front so that all of Natural Vitamins customers as well as neighbors get to meet many of the Sports Top Body Builders and interact with them as well as take advantage of the samples the companies give out during the event so that the customers may try the new products or just products that they were interested in and finally get to try.

Natural Vitamins is currently now being managed by on of the Zavala's son Serge Zavala (http://www.facebook.com/serge.zavala) who has continued the Zavala love and tradition to help other and has also gone to school to follow in his father's footsteps and taken up Iridology as well as Sclerology and Nutrition and has continued studies in the field of Holistic Medicine.

Natural Vitamins is currently in the process of opening up other locations through out the New York area and at the verge of opening up there newest location in Astoria, Queens located at 32-86 47th Street in the coming weeks.
